Baselworld cancelled.

Shit! I mean, understandable but woah! This might end up reformatting the whole thing. Never been but understand it's shrinking every year anyway and I'm sure the fees for a stand a disgustingly high. Like all the trunk shows in the US, not sure if they see a massive surge in revenue or not. Might diminish the hype a fair bit though, for brands that it's not necessarily the show its self.

New strap to compliment the watch.
Only thing is should the strap be on the 'single' length?

On the train from a conference in Birmingham, try to use the crawling Wifi! Going back to Southampton. I'm passing through fairly regularly as my girlfriend works there, you need something??
No, I grew up there hence recognising Carter Marsh, I'll be there tomorrow as it goes.

Did that G-Shock come with a link strap or was it aftermarket?

Ahh I see. If you pop past Burells, see if they have the new green Aqua Terra in the window!

I need to pop in there to tell them that I'm not going to buy the Coke GMT that they've got in the window, which I looked at over Christmas, so will have a general poke around.

Really nice piece and a great brand. Props to your dad for having great taste in watches. It wears well on your wrist too.

Came with it!

A ‘friend’ wore his watch incorrectly for a few hours after putting it on an Erica strap.. just in case you are possibly doing what my ‘friend’ did ... your wrist goes through the loop you see in your second photo.
This is a serious suggestion.

There’s a video on the Erika’s site that shows how to fit and adjust that type of strap.

Thanks! I absolutely love it, it seems quite hard to come by much info on these, I'd love to know a bit more

Wow, that Carter and Marsh one is pricey (£2.2k!). I think in that condition it’s an £800 watch. Although the eBay one was cheap it was fairly dinted which is never a good look on a dressier watch and had the wrong hands - lumed on a non-lume dial.
When you factor in a comprehensive service, decent bracelet, no lume variant and crisp bezel that Omega forum one is solid. Maybe I’ve just got a weakness for linen dials.
@Regal I thought they were 36mm but googling the ref number is confusing. They deffo wear big. Ps. Lend me £1200 pls

Yeah, totally agree. Also agree on the sizing, all that I've seen say 36mm excluding crown but definitely wear large which sound like a perfect balance to me!

I was a bit dismissive of this until I saw it in the flesh today.
It’s really lovely.

Some people on here seem to like these - tkmaxx by Tottenham Court Road has a few of them and cheaper than I can find online

I just can't imagine James Bond wearing a novelty themed watch. Surely he would be wearing the ceramic no-date Seamaster?
-
• #42499
No he’s wearing the titanium no date seamaster 300.
This is a different thing .
The dial is lovely. -

Thanks! This and the Speedmaster I have no reservations about, I like everything about them. I like my Seamaster a lot, just wish it was slightly thinner so as to be more in keeping with the older watches that it’s an homage to, but that’s a very minor niggle. The Railmaster I sometimes think of selling, but will probably keep it as it rounds out the three Sea/Speed/Rail.
Is there an official rally strap for the Speedmaster? My current one is getting quite worn now.
That's their image by the way.
