The extra weight of the bar bag will help offset any excess leverage.

Appears I've been a long time Instagram follower of the friend of yours, instantly recognized that awesome bike.
https://www.instagram.com/master_of_reality1/ is him, right? -

Yeah! I was the one who found the Zip frameset in a coop shortly after I found my MB1 in a different coop. I called him up and bought it for him for $75. You can probably see an older set-up of my MB1 on his insta.

Shakedown done. As suspected could do with a slightly shorter stem. Other than that. Well chuffed. Left bag on as bolted it in to see how well it fits and couldn't be arsed to undo it. Also. It was too clean and shiny.
Superchuffed. Rides like a sofa. More capable than I am. Made me smile.

There’s a bit of mud on the bar tape.

Welcome! Serious bike envy haha, what's the manufacturing year on that Technium?
-
• #10537
It's an 87, if you want a laugh here look up the stock Technium skylite, comfort for days. Rear clearance is bad so I can only fit the 1.75 panaracers, 2" rubs. Very low BB pedal strikes even with the 165 cranks I'm running lol

Disfunctional yet functional!

As per current project thread, almost finished my dedicated gravel bike (as opposed to having a commuter / gravel / whatever bike). Just waiting on some BTP / Serfas woven tape, a front light bracket and probably a new chain and it will be done. Looking forward to some longer rides on this.

That looks really nice. What happened with the rear brake bosses?
-
• #10541
When I was first building it up, just after I had it powder coated, I managed to snap a bolt in the boss attaching the brake arm. Extremely dumb, I know. I just over torqued it and the head snapped off. I think the threads inside weren’t chased properly. Anyway, took it to a frame builder friend and asked if could get the bolt out or replace the boss. He replaced the boss. As I just had it powder coated and put new decals on there, I just left it raw and clear coated the repair.

I'll have one gravel, please.

• #10546
‘Gravel’ is merely a corruption of ‘grovel’, which is just a synonym for ‘sit up and beg bike’. Not many people know this

Is G-One Bite/Ultrabite any good?
Planning to keep Allround on rear and put something more aggressive on front.

What’s the options for single speed/ fixed gravelish bike or frame?
Pompino used- need a disc fork
Day one- rarely cheap in my size XL
Steamroller or straggler?
One of the all city? -

Arkose ss?
That long stem quill/short head tube combo scares me.
