  • I've never been there, sorry. The closest to there that I've eaten something was at Dingle Hill Tearooms. They do decent vegan stuff--simple café food but not bad at all. I doubt you want to ride to Dunwich in this weather, though. :)

  • It looks as if there are a few places with separate vegan menus etc. The Boardwalk Restaurant seems to get the best write-up:

    https://www.happycow.net/europe/england/southwold/

  • And By Chloe already have four places in London--Oxford Circus, Tower Bridge, Covent Garden, and at the Millennium Dome.

  • Don't anyone tell @hippy that there's now another reason to go vegan:

  • Not in Southwold but near it. The Unruly Pig has a very meaty menu in general, but enough well marked vegan dishes (and drinks) that you can order well.

  • .

  • I guess it depends what you’re using them for. I’ve found these

To be really good for walking around in downpours and boggy woodlands. Can’t vouch for them in long hiking periods however.

  • "unlimited pizza AND unlimited Prosecco or beer for 90 minutes for a flat rate of £30 per person!"

Bollocks to time limits. If I rock up and ask for 4 pizzas and 12 bottles of prosecco they're not gonna hand them over are they?

  • It says one pizza per two people at a time. It's not much of a deal, if you ask me.

  • Similar to a lot of 'bottomless' brunches in London I think. Quite a few where you get unlimited drinks for 90-120 minutes and then the choice of one item from the menu for £25 or something like that. At least you can inhale the pizza and then get another with this one. Though the issue is always that they could take 30 minutes to get you another pizza out, eating into your time.

  • Or like Vegas where the drinks are "free" but if you tip less than the price of a drink the server isn't going to come back to you any time in the next hour

  • This has recently opened at King's Cross; I've been past there many times since but failed to notice it. I don't really know where it is in 'King's Cross Square', which seems to be what they now call the square in front of King's Cross Station.

Very good location, opens at 7am weekdays and 8am at the week-end. Hope they're successful.

  • I think it is the round bit under the cover near the bus stops on Euston Road. See picture...

  • Ah, cheers, I thought it must be that. I've walked past it and cycled past on Euston Road since it must have opened, but didn't spot it. :)

  • Temple of Camden has moved to Parkway, a rather better location than Camley Street:

The new location replaces the Camley Street outlet (which recently closed) and keeps their number of London restaurants at two when you count the original Hackney Central joint.

The new Camden Temple of Seitan is opening on Thursday February 20, 2020 in the old Purezza vegan pizza restaurant location.

Purezza recently relocated to the space next door (keep up, people!) which you can read about online here. It is now three times the size it used to be.

  • So, just by Whole Foods then? Liked having it on my run route, but understand it's more central and will do more business.

  • Any recommendations for vegan sandwich fillers (cold)? Like a good ham or cheese substitute to have with some salad?

  • Or make your own cashew soft "cheese".

  • Was thinking hummus, cucumber and carrot would be a good combo.

  • I’m looking for something I can buy easily in a packet and quickly make sandwiches (for lunch at work) with. Convenience is key.

  • Falafels?

  • Quorn vegan ham, or other brand stuff if the shop has it, pickles, carrots are good if you get a big one and slice it dead thin lengthways, there's some alpro soft cheese stuff in some stores but I've not tried it, veegz cheese slices in some places too but they're mostly a bit meh.

  • Taifun smoked tofu and the basil tofu are pretty good in sandwiches.

  • Tofurkey slices are my lazy lunch option. The Hickory Smoked variety in particular gives good taste : thickness ratio.

    edit - it's Tofurky, apparently.
