I hadn't noticed until now that Seiko have released a Black Series Sumo, reference SPB125J1. It is already out of stock in a lot of places.
Thinner than a submariner, sapphire crystal, 6R35 movement. Pretty good value. The limited edition Black Series Turtle are for sale at 2 to 3x RRP, which suggests these will hold value nicely as well.

I was only made aware of the Black Turtle yesterday, tried to find one and, yeah, well spendy.
Shelved that idea. -

I saw them in person in the Seiko Boutique in 2018 and nearly bought one. Kicking myself I didn't now!

I think the problem is more like, what Seiko is worth £750?
-
• #42066
If I had to spend £750 in a Seiko I'd get this one.

Ejay, was there a railmaster in the recent past that had a sub second dial?
-
• #42071
One on the left is crucial

• #42072
I swear the steel no-date Sub has jumped about 2 grand in as many years

There was a larger sized planet ocean with a seconds sub dial at six o’clock. That was a railmaster . About 10 years hence I believe.
