I can't remember on the warranty. Not hugely lengthy but no-one offered anything that great from what I remember.
I have a feeling he wasn't FENSA registered. That wasn't an issue for me as the FENSA stuff only applies when totally replacing a window including new frames, sashes, etc. In my case I already had (very knackered) sashes so it wasn't a new installation.

Went to the don’t move improve exhibition at the weekend. Some beautiful projects of all types and sizes but I did not realise how expensive these projects are -majority were in six figures 😱

Are there many people here on their 2nd or 3rd home yet?
What's the process for buying a new house when you're in a chain? Should we be advertising our place and waiting for an offer before we put an offer on a new place?
We're looking at a few places this weekend so it'd be good to get an idea of the process.

Should we be advertising our place and waiting for an offer before we put an offer on a new place?
Market and property dependent - but right now, yes.

Sellers will be more willing to move forward with you if you have an offer on your place already. The further you are, the more willing they should be.
(Unless, of course, you aren't relying on the proceeds of your old place to but the new place.)

Sunrise this morning from our bungalow window, feeling content in middle age now that I don’t have to look at a new build estate out of every window

We did it the other way around, but it got ours sold within 2 weeks of offer being accepted.
If anyone is likely to be kitchenless at some point in the near future, we have a Salter mini oven like this that we luckily don't have to use any more:
https://www.robertdyas.co.uk/salter-black-ek2821rofob-28l-mini-toaster-oven-with-2-hobs
It's a huge step up from a microwave and was a lifesaver for us while our kitchen was being redone.
Chicken not included.
