I can't remember on the warranty. Not hugely lengthy but no-one offered anything that great from what I remember.
I have a feeling he wasn't FENSA registered. That wasn't an issue for me as the FENSA stuff only applies when totally replacing a window including new frames, sashes, etc. In my case I already had (very knackered) sashes so it wasn't a new installation.

This is the guy I used who I've mentioned before who I used http://www.sashrepairs.co.uk/
He was excellent but not the speediest, in part due to being a bit of a perfectionist. I paid something like £300 a window for refurb and about £1k a window for new double glazed units.
