I actually like that.

I'd never wear it. But if I wore full combat gear, or a Supreme tshirt/cap then I'd definitely consider it.

Strap has started to go on my sports watch, so back to a dive watch for standing in a 30°c pool.

Finally found some hands via Island Watches. Marc was really sound so getting white and orange hands to mix and match. Once there here I should be able to send it off for the movement swap.

Depending on whether I win a black date and dial I'll be swapping those too to make a bit more visual space on the dial to counter the larger looking hands.

Or the worn look .. at one point I changed the bezel insert for a black one but my friend told me to put the old one back on .. patina was ‘in’

oof that's really good

The pity is I used to wear it constantly, work , riding , swimming , holidays, never off my wrist .
Then as I got more precious about it ( probably the only thing I’m sentimental about that’s never had a heart beat) and more aware of its cost to replace , i wear it less and less .Bonkers really .
But on the other hand I do get to buy and wear other diver / tool watches which got me interested in horological things

I like patina, but being a massive narcissist I'd rather generate said patina myself rather than buying someone else's, if that makes sense. Therefore, a NOS watch is quite desirable.

I used to have the transformer watch as a kid. Loved it. So much so it fell into the bog. Used my mcgyver feelz and put it in the airing cupboard. Dried out an started working again. 😎 #csb

Cheapo combination today. Random Russian watch I picked up for about £15 and Maratac Mil strap which is surprisingly decent for $6.
