- A significant portion of the human race is too lazy or stupid to put the right things in the right bins.
- What's allowable in each category is complicated and inconsistent anyway (most recycling centres don't bother with shredded paper and as for plastic...)

Yes, a mucky, time wasting, annoying ceremony - and it's this that makes me so infuriated because it's a barrier to anyone who is just slightly lazier than me. I've never once in ten years seen anyone else from our block recycle anything - it makes me feel like such a mug!
That Westminster makes you separate the different types of recycling in to different grubby bins but then puts everything in to the same bin truck when they pick it up. Infuriating.
