Do you mean our very own Jake Br0wn?
He also struggles to find full length trousers.

While I'm on the shoe thread, I just found a pic of some bold shoes I spotted a while back - these were in a shop in Budapest & I'm glad it was shut as strong drink had been taken - ooft!

Don’t know that name, other than somebody that you definitely would not know.

Any good sock recommendations?
I seem to trash them pretty quickly in part due to my large feet, so cheaper the better.
Community clothing ones seems good basics at £4. -

M&S.

I wear Dickies cushion crew socks all winter and then thinner 'fun' ones for the rest of the year.
They're nothing interesting to look at but; they're warm, last ages, black and don't make my ankle hair hurt. -

Finisterre last long wool sock
https://finisterre.com/products/original-sock-navy
Quite likely to be cheaper in the long run while better than any cotton sock

M&S merino £15 for a three pack

If you want something not grey, black or blue check out Uniqlo.
I'd still say m&s tho
Merino or the ones with silver.

Muji. Though questionable sources of cotton/production in suspect parts of China.
My favourite budget socks though.

What's the wool percentage?
My latest favs are from Merino Country, with Alpaca; so nice! -

Thanks all! I’ll check out various suggestions.
Should have been clearer bolder solids would be preference.Paul Smith socks are great, I now only ever buy in the sale though. If you go to the smaller Covent Garden store they are doing two for £18 at present.
I’ve found Muiji Uniqlo too small.

Another reason to get Finisterre then. Think they do 3 for 24
@withered_preacher No idea about wool percentage, but they're comfy and last ages

Yeah! They are crushingly pricey. But so nice.

I've got quite a few pairs of the Community Clothing ones, both the thinner ones and the thicker "hiking" style socks. I really rate them, comfortable, nice colours, and that warm "made in UK" glow

very nice.
Haha - not quite, just hoisted the trousers slightly to get more of the socks in, although when I cycle to work I usually forget what clothes I have at work & end up at the mercy of a random assortment of things - all sorts of shit that really should not go together, today is mild & the shoes have been replaced by huaraches
