Finished BotW after around 40 hours, still plenty to do and not in the Ubisoft "Collect 500 feathers around the city" sort of way. Thoroughly looking forward to it.
Also have no qualms about forking out for the DLC which includes a new hard mode, while it seems like an odd thing to have as DLC, the game is easily worth the £70 total. Still believe it was worth buying the Switch for.
Hands-down one of the greatest games I've ever played. Plays like a Shadow of the Colossus/MGSV cross-over which is a pretty decent combo for me.

Got to say I've not enjoyed it as much as I thought I would. I bought Stardew Valley (again) for my Switch and have spent far more time grinding cranberries and ancient fruit wine for the $10m gold clock.
I'll put some time aside to give it another go shortly. I think I just found it overwhelming. I like to unlock maps on games like that and it's not easy to do without leveling. I also found some of the tomb challenge things ludicrously tough and grinding for money to buy new gear didn't seem that easy, not that it should be I guess. Think I started a boss fight too early and without enough arrows which put me in a sour mood.

It's the only other game I've got on the Switch (after buying it for PC and Vita). I'm a big fan but it did take some concious effort to not focus on min-maxing and just enjoy it.

Yeah ok I'll drop the notes tomorrow. Better not be another "links awakening" favlored disappointment! I know where you live!
I don't really.

Other than what?

overwhelming
I found this a bit too, but was coming from a long break from any big 1p gaming other than a sorry punt at ocarina to try and get me excited

When you've had enough of your Switch Mick. I'll buy it off you ;)

Can we talk new Animal Crossing?
Preordered over here and absolutely can’t wait.
Spent quite a few hours with New Leaf.

You can borrow our cartridge. Does switch work that way?
But agree. It alone was worth the cost since two of us spent a lot of time enjoying it.

The special addition Switch looks great.

Was replying to the comment above mine (didn't explicitly use the reply function)
Breath of the Wild & Stardew Valley are the only games I have for it (besides the £20/year NES/SNES library access).
Can't see myself buying anything else until the BotW sequel comes out.

Honestly it's probably one of the best games in terms of having a consistent open world. Games like GTA are great when just dicking around, and then force you to complete mission objectives in a very specific manner, which I've always found pretty jarring.
Playing Breath of the Wild by comparison is a hell of a lot more seamless, you're just as free to carry out mission objectives as you would be at any other time.

You really must buy Mario Odyssey, it's amazing...

I tend to be quite the hoarder when it comes to handhelds. Still got my DS, PSP, Vita and a couple of linux handhelds that I can't imagine letting go off anytime soon.
Just think, you could have Dark Souls on the go!

Will likely pick it up eventually, definitely looks like potentially the best 3D platformer yet. But those are not really my cup of tea.
Having said that, I'll likely pick up the Spyro trilogy on Switch. Even though I have the originals on the Vita.

Yeah I thought you'd hoard consoles. I do too still got xbox og (for KtOR, Black and Crimson Skies), Game Boy and a DS and some twonkey Gundam game console.
I obv need to buy a switch. Yes for DS on the go and Botw after your excellent review.

Not sure if being DS-savvy makes it an easier or harder transition
Both. You need to attack in Sekiro rather than shield up and roll away defense of DS. Parry hit box is bigger so easier than DS. Though you'll get all the inventory management, so enemy respawn and soul retrieval stuff.
Still dipping in to DS1 with Mage build. The mace is ace
It's always like going home knowing all the secret shortcuts and tricks. Such a deep game

It's brilliant, I dare you to NOT like it!!
I think it's pretty much neck and neck with Super Mario 3D World on the Wii U, love that game even more... I'd probably buy that again if they ported it over...

likely pick up the Spyro trilogy on Switch.
I just bought this in the Steam sale on PC. Good to know it has your seal of approval

With the exception of some of the damn annoying NPCs that seem to be mandatory in 90s platformers, they're great games even by modern standards.

bioshock collection is up for free on PS plus this month (along with Sims4)
Looking forward to heading back to Rapture -
• #21473
Yup. Revisiting is awesome
What a fine clever FPS with a decent story #notdarksouls

Got home, cleared some HDD space for Bioshock, played Dark Souls 3 waiting for it to install.

• #21475
Played all 3 bioshock games in the day.
First is the best... Nothing like entering Rapture for the first time. Totally uniqueCan't recall 2nd at all. Think I finished it
Infinite started off fun then I got bored
Good threebee from PS4
Will not be downloading Sims 4
Fuck, that's horrific/desperate... In every sense...
The shoe, not your desire to be better at MK... I'm about to quit, I can't stop playing it...
