After I lost my second I emailed and complained, they sent 3 FOC. When I went to fit I realised I'd had neither of the plastic clips.left.
I was going to either use a little sugru or glue to try hold it on.

P2M finally responded to me... I accept it broke, but really its a bad design for MTB, said I can pay for replacement. The issue is the powermeter now doesn't send power data. So I am left with a paperweight.
Sorry, but this is not repairable.
You have two options:
- You send it back and order a crash replacement , here you have to pay 290,-€ add. shipping for a new p2m system.

If it broke once, it'll break again really. I could live without the plastic clips (thanks sugru), but it has stopped functioning as a powermeter now.

OK so I swapped the battery and now it works again. I didn't do this before as I only put a new battery in a few weeks back. I will monitor it, I wonder if it has a battery drain issue. Odd.

Both plastic clips snapped off. I reckon the extreme negative temperatures of kygyrstan (-15C) lead to brittle fracture.

I have fallen of, but I would hardly say I've crashed it.
I've slipped off on some muddy leaves!The fact is, the design isn't really fit for purpose. If indeed you can break them as easily as I have (with small slips off the bike) then it's not really robust enough.
I can accept that snapping them off is ultimately my fault, and live with the consequence. However the fact the powermeter stopped working (now working again oddly!) was my issue with them.

I wouldn't. They know the types of conditions these things will be used in and should design accordingly. Doesn't look fit for purpose. If you've used your bike as intended and their component has failed in normal use, I'd ask them to do better than they have. Call them out.

His issue seems to be with the axle (FSA), not powermeter (P2M)
That guy might be smart and right, however he come across as mightier than though with apparent no desire to explain himself. Just shout.

I see his point at 3:30 about the spider 'lip' the means when the bearings are fitted, the spider is rubbing on the seal of the bearing, but I haven't got time to watch an hour talking about bearings.

He has however not read the instructions for the crank, being an arrogant fuck. If he had, he'd k ow there should be a seal between the end of the crank and the bearing which has a metal insert in it which prevents the contact he's whinging about. So that's user error by an arrogant twat, not poor engineering.

TBF I understand this is a design that comes from FSA and is implemented by P2M rather than being decided by them. I have the P2M version of the powerbox, and there is no lip. Funny, I was watching this video last night.
I had it on the gravel bike and managed to knock off the cap one time during a gravel event. Was a bit more careful after that. Now it's moved on to the Talbot roadie, so no issues there. They do sell replacement caps though, right?
