TK Maxx crap is where I live!

I've picked up lovely high end cashmere at High St Ken for my dearly beloved in the past, no such luck out here... I'm told Melbourne and Sydney are very good, I will check this out next time I'm interstate... Brisbane and surrounds is just Ben Sherman, etc... Barely any RL Polo even, pathetic really...

Apparently you get more expensive/ fancied stuff in more affluent areas and shitter stuff in the slums.
Explains why my Basildon local branch is stocked almost exclusively with shite.

£300+ for a fucking jumper. Get to fuck. No wonder it's in TK Max.

Gracechurch St one is always good for that reason, Long Acre is often patchy but good.
Got a shirt in the latter the other day which is far too well engineered for the £19 price tag. It was by a brand called Nordam who, by the lack of search results, appear to have failed to actually make it to market. Possibly spent too much on fabric. -

Some have. Lots of them being nicked in some stores it seems.

Got a really nice pair of Chelsea Boots from
TK for not much dollar. Only noticed they were mismatched sizes - that happened to match my mismatched feet - when I got home. -

You do realise this must mean there's an anti-Howard walking around somewhere with the other shoes...
-
• #60
It makes me wonder how many people do this intentionally..

I've lucked out massively in our one recently. Folk twill mac reduced from £350 to £50, and Norse Projects jeans for £25.
-
• #62
Damn, I saw a Nose Projects tshirt but couldn't find anything else by them in the Oxford Street one.
-
• #63
They make a lot of 'brands' themselves, it is not all end of line by any stretch.
-
• #64
Yes; many of those you can't find online, including many with cool Scandi names are their own stuff masquerading as a named brand as we know it

An aside, but my mum recently invoked Le Creusets lifetime guarantee on one of their large casserole pots. She couldn't remember where she'd bought it, probably somewhere in France maybe 30-40 years ago and had no proof of purchase. After a few easily answered questions they agreed to replacement. The new one arrived yesterday! Epic win for mum.

I often look at things and think "This was destined for here from day fucking one wasn't it?!"

It probably was, just like the Panorama episode on outlet store.

It doesn’t bother me at all that some stuff is made in house, if the quality is there I’ll take that over blindly buying a recognised brand. Having said that, I do tend to look for Ralph knit ware (sans donkey) because they source decent fabrics.
I think people don’t realise how much stock at outlet stores in made just for outlet and potentially to a quality to match that price point, a Paul Smith suit from Bicester is not the same as one from their Covent Garden store. Same with leather shoes, posh handbags, etc

Befriend a worker and get a TK Maxx card, always 10% off with 20% one weekend a month 👍

I went that extra mile and married one. #discountz4lif

Dedication towards discounts is impressive

Impressive indeed... 😎
Nothing better than a hook-up! 😂

Trickers, Weejuns and Ray Bans all available online at the moment. Seen plenty of Folk in store and picked up a rude camo Eastpak weekend bag for thirty squids.
Not a huge fan of Instagram but people send this guy stuff they find and it’s always interesting to see what’s out there.

Is that correct? I always assumed it was just the stuff from last season / last year or whatever that they'd have no hope of ever shifting in their Selfridges outlet.

edit- I can't find the full episode but Channel 4 Dispatches did an investigation on them

provincial TK Maxx are a gold mine. Also have they stopped selling kitchen knives?
