No. It's not good, but it's not a deal breaker. Just fit one of these. Of course you can't use cranks with 30mm spindles in BB86 (not in any way sensibly anyway) but you knew that.

I rode for 3 Danish winters with a BB86 in a steel frame. You'll be fine if you upgrade from the stock Shimano BBs, I eventually went for a Token and it worked well for me.

Is the mere mention of BB86 enough to walk away from a frame I'm thinking of buying? Always had old school threaded BBs, know nothing of press fit stuff.
