recommended good price/quality rim brake 650B rim? Seen the Ryde Andra 40, any good? currently have the velocity atlas on one wheelset and pleased about it (despite nmsw)
EDIT: must be quite bombproof if possible, would be for a fixed wheelset with 32h -

I have the 26" version and it's been bombproof. Someone on here had problems with them on their 200 kg+ cargo-bikes tho.

My 650B Odyssey seems to be finished, for now: after 5 weeks waiting for these chinese adapters and changing to other break pads since the old ones didn't fit in the front – it works.
First test ride today, a little bit more wider tyres and no toe overlap anymore, so that was what I was expecting. But I wouldn't ever do this again.

Does anyone have a narrow/shallow 650b recommendation that would fit 28-40ishc tyres comfortably?
edit: RIMS!

Anyone have any experience fitting 650b rim brake wheels in a 26" frame? Will my v brakes still work?
-
• #2289
I would guess going up is easier than going down with v-brakes, and also if there is enough place for the wheels in the frame.
-
• #2290
Yes, probably not, in that order.
I used a Paul Motolite to achieve the correct height, some other brakes may work too.

Planet X has some Vee Rubber 650B tyres in the sale.
https://www.planetx.co.uk/i/q/TYVEESPCXG/vee-tyre-co-speedster-cyclocross-gravel-tyre
£9.99 each and use code WINTER to get 25% off which effectively covers the postage costs.
Got mine yesterday
EDIT: Vee Rubber SPEEDSTER 27.5x1.95 from VeeTireCo are marked as 50-584.
On a clincher rim with a 20mm internal width, they come up at 48mm wide at the max 50 PSI recommended (3.5 bars)

Superstar are doing 50% off road wheels with code road50, so ordered these in 650b...
https://www.superstarcomponents.com/en/element-roadlite-v6-wheelset-uk-made-hubs.htm
Ive got the same uk made hubs on a different set and they seem fine, and the rims look to be rebadged Kinlin TL23 by the dimensions. 23mm internal. Seem a bargain at £140.
Now what all round 650b gravel tyres do I put on them?

Any thoughts on quality? Have you ridden them? PX has loads of their tyres now, I'm looking at some 700c ones

Feel like I've seen many americans using Vee tyres on Trendy Desert Bikepacking Websites so they might be OK in the right conditions

I've got a set of Clement X'plor in 650b x 50c I think. Don't have any 650 wheels, won't use them. I think they've been ridden once or twice only. Wire bead.
Anyone want?
