Update to the shelving/cutting batten bit the other day. Had some more to do and couldn't give up the time for a pull saw so I picked up a dewalt circular today. It's stupidly fast. Honestly like a knife through warm butter, on whatever I've thrown at it today - some old oak, ash and cherry. Clean cuts and fairly easy to hit the mark by eye/hand. When I figure out how to fit a jig/guide on it I'll be making battens all day. Should have got one ten years ago.
