Agreed, not particularly useful information there. Ultimately, nutrition is a fucking minefield and a lot of it is genetics - some people do well on high meat intake where as others get along just fine without. Eg: I tend to lean vegan but seem to do better mixing it up a bit with animal products. There’s no ethical justification, just got to live with that.
And yeah, that second quote is totally misleading.
The argument used in that article applies just as well to meat though. Quality has dropped in the persuit of cheap food. Oh it goes on to say so much later on, but still points the finger elsewhere:
And then this (below) - whilst not entirely a lie has the implication that you need red meat at that stage in your life so a misleading statement at best.
