I buy one pair of chainsaw boots every 18month, they’re made of leather. Simple fact is the only pair of non-leather chainsaw boots currently on the market simply do not fit the shape of my feet and were agony. After 3 months of blisters and them simply not breaking-in at all I decided to give up the hair shirt and buy a pair of the same boots I’ve worn for my whole career.
Do I feel guilty? Yes, of course I do.
At the end of the day I wear my boots anything up to 14hrs a day sometimes and have to be able to do my job :/
I don’t buy wooly jumpers and the last 2 times I’ve bought jeans(Volcom & Prana) they’ve had cloth labels.
I do my best but I try not to beat myself up about the things I can’t control..
