A bit more than that I'd guess, +/-0.5m at least

Download government lidar data (levels taken with a laser from a plane). So long as it's not under tree cover etc then it'll be better than + or - 10cm generally.

You'll need qgis (free) or similar to view the data.

Cheers, I had a look at the Lidar stuff, it seemed to say it was only accurate to 0.5m from memory, but I'm sure maybe it's better than that in reality. Went with a surveyor in the end to guarantee legal water-tightness.
