Just broke down reading that. It's unbearable.

I'm humbled, the next time I change my daughters nappy or that next bike ride in the rain or making my sister laugh or hugging my Mum. I won't take it for granted.

I can’t read it until the kids are in bed. Joe was one of my best friends at school, someone who I looked up to as a role model and who genuinely broadened my horizons. We lost touch in adulthood unfortunately, but I know reading that will have me in floods of tears.

My Dad proposed to my Mum at the 66 final. Somehow feels even more sad when you realise that your parents are the same age.

Carl Whiteley, I knew him through my brother, who knew him quite well.
I had a blood spitting zombie extra part in a never released short film he did about 10 years ago. He's been in a coma for most of the last year and was unresponsive when woken up a month or so ago. Real shame as he was a lovely guy and seemed to be really going places with a life in Spain and meetings in LA. Died last night from what I'm hearing, RIP.

Just heard the news that John Rawnsley has passed away on Christmas Day. A legend in the British cyclocross world as the orginator of the 3 Peaks race.

Sad to hear that Alasdair Gray has died, aged 85. I’m going to re-read Lanark in 2020, as a small, personal tribute.

Thats sad news, I went to see the stage play Lanark a few years ago, a real feast for the eyes and ears.

He used to come into a printers I worked in years ago, delightfully eccentric wee man.
