My frame ended up being refunded fairly quickly, about 2 days after it arrived back at their depot. So there is hope.
On a side note, they eventually sold that specific frame on ebay for over £250 less than what I paid for originally. Maybe they should have offered me more than £40 in vouchers to keep it...
