  • I was so sad this has lactose in! Is it good?

  • Today's pick ups. Putting them both in the back of my parent's booze cupboard to forget about for a few years.

BA Barley wine from Cat Asylum brewing company in Newark. And Fuller's Imperial stout. No idea if the Fuller's is any good but we'll see in about 5 years.

  • Yeah. Delicious.

Are you vegan or lactose intolerant? If the latter, my wife uses those lactase tablets to good effect... though not to drink milk stouts.

  • Ha, both now.

I know the super lactase drill well, doesn't work with Bailey's. Or a whole cheeseboard. 😂

  • The Villages stuff was pretty average. The Howling Hops one was, as expected, great:

  • This was good though. In the world of trendy micro breweries the old school places do some good beers.

St Peters does consistently good beers.

  • They had a pale ale called 'Bidon' in the summer that was very good on draft but less so in a bottle. I like choosing local breweries but will probably give then a miss from now on.

  • Nailed drinksbythedram box of mezcal last night before Mashtag 2015 and Aloha from the EFP Advent. Mashtag was pretty nice, the Aloha was the kind of stout I like but the coconut gets a bit much for me pretty quickly. They had another coconut stout in the box, called Coconut Shy I'd like to do a side-by-side comparison with but I'd already caned that.

  • Mixed selection from asda, Intrigued by the black sheep and plum porter looks interesting
