It's a lovely frame with nicely feathered lugs.
I picked it up on the eBay for£8.90 a couple of weeks back, rides really smooth too.

I don't recall ever seeing a bad RIH in general. Such lovely bikes.

Afaik, there‘s two RIH brands. The famous RIH amsterdam bikes have the word amsterdam in their logo. And there‘s a second RIH brand with the RIH logo without the word amsterdam in it. The latter brand resulted from a sale of the name rights or something along those lines. They produced rather large numbers of bread and butter bikes - saw quite a few of them when I lived in the netherlands. OG Rih bikes on the other hand are very sought after, particularly in the netherlands since the frame builder has built for the national team and many other professionals. My guess would be that yours isn’t an original one because of the mudguard eyelets and generous clearances. Still a great rat though and if is indeed a real RIH you made an incredible deal a that price :)

Cheers for the info, great photo, as far as I know, cheap Rih were by Fongers (Groningen) during the 60's and then the contract moved to Cové(Venlo) in the 70's.
Despite the roomy clearances and eyes on the Campag ends mine's definitely an Amsterdam frame number (9231) and both the headtube badge and downtube sticker are marked Amsterdam so it's a good-un!

Thanks for the Fongers link - that does look like a good one. The rihsport frame number database is where I got the build year of mine from. There's also a good amount of rih info on https://www.bikeforums.net/classic-vintage/851256-ultimate-rih-source.html too.

Still not set on what I’m doing with this thing... found the flat bars in the garage, had considered electrical taping some di2 to it and the blue wheels clash with everything else I have so seem like a logical choice for this... 🤷‍♂️

Buddy got his seat post stuck. Reminded me to pull my much neglected rat down from the rack and give it a good clean. I don't think I put more than 10 miles on this bike in the past 3 years. Young family and some other life changes have put me on the mountain bike and cargo bike more. Feel inspired to start riding this again. I definitely miss it. Goodness... thinking about it, I bet I put 15-20k miles on it over the course of a decade.

Will post pics when fully assembled. Waiting on some internal corrosion inhibitor for the frame to arrive in the mail before putting back together. I love that stuff.

In the meantime here are some cleaning pics. It was absolutely filthy. Filthy!!
