So it’s been a few years and I still fucking want a 214270. Trying not to spend money as got a kid on the way BUT CAPITALISM.

I know I know. Should have picked a more lucrative career than colouring-in.

I might be doing it a disservice. I tried a new two-tone one on and it seemed pretty chunky, whereas a mate has one of the previous ones and that always looked pretty slim to me. I’m certain the old one was thinner than a modern sub.

41mm but the case is thin and the lugs are curved so it sits really well.

So,

Switzerland’s Competition Commission (COMCO) is to prohibit Swatch's subsidiary ETA from supplying mechanical movements to other watchmakers in 2020.

But I cant remember what the reasons were in first place... In simple terms, what happened? What forced them to stop supplying? I thought it was them that decided to reduce it themselves to crush their competition.

Last week I found my grandad's old Seiko Quartz at my parents' and the battery was as dead as he was since 2003. Took it to a jewellers and was told that it wasn't the battery and a new movement wasn't worth it. I put it in my pocket and walked back to the office to decide what to do. When I got back to my desk I got the watch out and TA DA! It was ticking along fine.
