Brompton owners

I used these bars on my ‘P’. I would have gone for ‘S’ bars but needed clearance for my ‘O’ bag. I cut the bars down to 50cm and shortened the ‘P’ cables by comparing the position of the levers, etc, on new and old bars and measuring the difference.
I would have cut them narrower if I could (no space for levers on my 6 speed) and would also have gone for the flat bars if it wasn’t for the bag-clearance. I’m riding at max extension on my long seatpost so it wouldn’t suit everyone though.
If you are going to go the ‘cutting down cables’ route then remember that you need to get the height of the cable gatherer right. The end that the cable housing is shortened at affects this and I had to find some spare housing in my ‘useful bits’ box as a result after overlooking this.
