  • Thee Oh Sees

    My face has melted.

  • sweet stickers tho.

    keep those.

  • ^^drummer missing but yep! Sound on that vid is as good as Iโ€™ve heard. Still miss Petey and Brigid tho

  • Facebook MarketPlace, it's fucking evil...

  • Needs some (a lot of) fine tuning, but my frankenshittycaster is finally done. Best thing is... it actually sounds good! Way better than I anticipated.
Need to install the remaining 4 screws for the pickguard, which will require some drilling. I also need to adjust action height, as it's quite awful right now.
And my bloody volume knob still hasn't arrived.

  • my bloody volume knob

    great band

  • This is what Iโ€™m using at home, at the moment. If I was gigging, Iโ€™d be more selective and use my smaller board.

  • I might move the Tumnus out to make way for this Timmy clone Iโ€™m building, if I can get the gain pot to work properly.

  • Man, you have some nice stuff!

  • I've got an inexpensive acoustic up for sale here. Nothing fancy, but it plays well, sounds nice and is in good condition. Good for an extra guitar, or a first foray into acoustic playing.

  • So I was checking out the price of getting some streetgoth plates for my new car, was toying with the idea of getting TONSLN or 7ON5LN etc... But my plate is great! I GITAR!!

Is that super lame? IDGAF!! ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚

  • I love this. That's a rad looking plate too. Irish ones look pants.

  • Man, you have some nice stuff!

Thanks. Some of itโ€™s a bit ratty, and most of it is used off FB Market and eBay. I decided a while back that I didnโ€™t want to play bass in a band any longer, so I sold my bass amp and turned it into guitar stuff.

Out of that lot, the only ones that would survive any reshuffle are the Broadcast and the Rat. And maybe the TU-2, since Iโ€™ve had it for 20-odd years.

  • Has anyone tried one of these electric guitar kits before? I feel like it could be a bit of fun to assemble but my concern is the quality of the parts. Obviously not expecting too much but would it be absolute rubbish or remotely acceptable? Wouldn't mind having to change tuners and pickups but will the bridge be muck?

  • Iโ€™m guessing yes.

  • Ha! My inner 8 year old stuck a fender custom shop sticker on the fridge the other day. Same sort of deal right? :)

  • This happened today, Fender USA standard precision with secret squirrel S1 switch. Haven't played bass in years but want to get back on it.

  • Slaaaaaap!

I think I might have mentioned that I love a burst. Nice one.

  • Super lame!!! ๐Ÿ˜‚

    Ordered today... ๐Ÿค‘

  • Thanks, always wanted a sunburst p bass with maple neck so pretty chuffed.

  • Had fun doing some Crimbo window shopping up town yesterday, and saw this PRS "Schizoid" edition guitar, based on the cover of King Crimson's classic debut album. Not sure if I love it or hate it but I think I'd feel a bit of a fraud playing one, since just about anything by Robert Fripp is too complicated for me. Quite a wall-hanger though! Oh and it had a Katana Mini sitting behind it, which I think I may well get based on good things said about it here. Ta.
