So just a couple of weeks in to brompton ownership and it is stuck in the lowest gear! The shifter clicks but it doesn't change gear. Is there anything obvious I should I be checking to get it working again to save a trip to the shop? For reference, it's a 2-speed...

Hi
Ticking sound sorted, thanks for the advice.
How do i stabilise the derailleur is there a mod, or something?
TIA -

Try cleaning derailleur & tensioner if dirty.

Two spokes, 14mm long, either side of the screw holding it to the Anchorage!

Pull the outer away from the shifter and then try shift, try to determine if it’s the shifter or just the Anchorage, if it’s dirty that will do the too

Anyone know where I can buy a BROMPNOT sticker?

It seems to pull the cable but only a tiny amount. I'm unsure quite how much it should moving :-)
It looks clean to me so I suspect this is the problem. The shop want it back to service soon anyway so I'll let them handle it.
Is there a technique to pulling the seat up to the same(ish) height each time? I seem to get it wrong almost every time

Yes, there's a limit sleeve and get it inserted as part of the service.

Tried putting new folding pedal onto old style one-piece crank and it doesn’t fold. The bar that holds the pedal body in place when unfolded didn’t make it over the end of the crank. I guess they have changed something somewhere. Any ideas?

So...the grub screw issue I had.
Brompton sent lbs an extraction tool and a front half of the frame if the screw was too hard to shift.Shop couldn’t remove the screw so new front half of frame.
All under warranty all gratis FOC £0
Cheers Brompton and Avon Valley Cyclery for making this happen

Can the threads on a gear indicator chain wear?
To answer my own question, it would appear so.
-
• #7870
What type?
-
• #7871
Do you mean the threads in the wheel hub, or the chain to the cable.

You wait til new year.
@lynx too
aye.
cabling needs a tidy and tying together
brake pads are not set right and wont be tight
Front wheel "axle protector" aka packaging left on
rear brake inner cable too long by my standards - hence why its bent over.
front dynamo routing through frame loop is incorrect
yes - rear light red wire doesnt look quite right.
good eyes!
I expect this from Evans...
