Anyone got any views on the latest Mazda 6 tourer? They seem to tick the basic boxes in terms of size and comfort that I'm looking at.
The need to replace the wife's car has become greater as it has some kind of water ingress and the interior's started growing mould. The idea of scrapping it for £5k off a 6 is rather tempting. The scrappage scheme only runs until 31 December so I'm guessing I'd be limited to ones that are already built and on a forecourt somewhere, but I'm not too bothered about spec & colour.
From the pics a lot of the interior looks like they've licenced it from BMW, certainly the heater matrix/click wheel thing for the infotainment system.

i never saw a rally live.. but this book (https://seanmunger.com/2013/07/10/retro-book-review-the-race-forever-choose-your-own-adventure/) cemented the lancia stratos in my brain and i fell in love with rally cars from group B to the Solberg-era :)
get yourself an sw20 while they are cheap.. here in hungary prices are already creeping up..

unfortunately non of the TTE mods are in the car (except for the TTE - seemingly limited edition - exhaust system)
the box is not an Xtrac anymore, it is the standard E151F with straight cut gears and dog engagement hubs (made here in hungary). not sure if the front diff has been messed with either..

Lovely, if only it was manual

It's cheap - I paid quite a bit more than that for the C55, with 25,000 more miles on it.

C55 is a different beast though. As well specced stock 335s go that’s a good price imo, assuming it’s not about to explode. Shame about the naff bits stuck on it but easily rectified. Didn’t pay much less for mine and I’ve only got lower mileage and a lack of bhp/dual exhaust to show for the difference.

Any bmw e90/91/92/93 owners (and probably other bmws) want a set of bimecc wheel spacers i removed from my e91?
I think they're 12mm front, 15mm rear, with matching extended wheel bolts and locking bolts with key.

That Jag is a monstrosity.

^This, looks like it should be in a knock off version of Miami Vice

Apparently the tolerance stack up on an M96 engine can see the pistons anywhere from flat with the deck to 1mm under deck height.
For context the head gasket is 0.65mm.
Looks like we’re blueprinting every engine we build in order to eradicate what to me is a ridiculous level of variation- essentially an entire point of compression.

@Señor_Bear @furious_tiles Come on, it was a brand new 1990 Jag, sent to Konig and had $100,000 dollars spent to make that.

Should have sent it to TWR, that thing looks prick!

Saw @pigfarmer last night. Could see him driving this.

It’s perfect for him, roof down, wearing his multi coloured puffa gillet

Well, have fun taking the driveshafts out if you're doing the job properly!
Was freezing and with numb hands hard going but managed it in about an hour. Think I got lucky this time.

@cake @furious_tiles Trying to decide if you are being nice or offensive.
To me it shows 80s excess and a bit of testarossa which looks out of place on a jag. Do have a softspot for an xjs convertible.

Good effort. You get the Spanner God of the Day award.

Aggressive downshifts sound wicked

To be fair my shakedown test drive was about half a mile, so it's early days.

V v good.
I’ve got two Thule bike carrier things and associated gubbins, of which I assume the t-track bits are part but I haven’t used them so can’t confirm. Shall I rummage?
