I have a Stanton Sherpa. Its the best geo and ride of all the many 29er steel hardtails I have ridden. Only has one set of bottle cage mounts, but you can fit more using dmr clamps or ask Stanton to fit more cage mounts. I also have a Sonder Broken Road running 29er wheels which is excellent as well.
Advice needed! I’m looking for a hardtail that’s both suitable for shredding the gnar on singletrack/trails in The Netherlands, an ocasional outing to the Ardennes/Eifel, and bikepacking the Tuscany Trail in June. I would prefer a steel frame because I love the look of slim steel tubes. Budget is around €2000.
Ritchey Ultra and Stanton Sherpa are on my list, what else should I consider? Fully and building my gravel bike are the obvious answer but budget won’t stretch to that for the next year...
