  • 2.5k to install a kitchen???? OH tried to get two quotes and the homebase approved fitter didn't even come out.

The fitted kitchen is poor. The kitchen design is bad to the point that a worktop cant be fitted as it is too long. The design is poor and makes the kitchen look lopsided.

  • Has the kitchen already been fitted?

Is the quote purely to fit the units or tiling/plumbing/electrics etc?

From what I've seen the approved fitters from places like homebase are hit and miss.

If you're not happy with the design go with another company. The only thing I would say is that all of the big DIY stores use the same manufacturers so the standard of their units is much of a muchness. As I've said before DIYkitchens.com are great but they don't offer a design service. I've recently fitted a Howdens kitchen for the first time in aaaaages and was amazed at how much they've upped their game, free design service and they can help you to find a local tradey (who holds an account with them) to work with.
