A search engine will lead you to the Brooks site, which details the dimensions of all their saddles.

Thanks for the input everyone, @stedlocks you can see why they changed the design, that little horse shoe thing stops the saddle flexing in the middle which makes it really uncomfortable. Think I’m going to drill some extra holes and tie it instead.

replace it with a link from a chain....looks cool, and still serves the purpose.
Unless you are a featherweight, the saddle will fail unless you re attach it to something -

These two came on my tandem, but dont work for us.
Can anyone name them, so I can punt them on.
One does seem a bit shorter than the other, I could measure.Cheers

Champion flyer. And champion flyer short.
If anyone wants them shout. You'll need a flat bed to collect them, they weigh a ton.

How much?

Anyone got a used cambium all weather for sale?
-
• #339
So I’ve just ordered a saddle and bar tape from Brooks England website (note ENGLAND).
Shipment originated in Verona. That’s Verona in Italy.
Any idea why? I thought they were in Smethwick. -

brooks is fizik is selle something?
all british institutions are foreign owned, like our government is owned by russia

Makes a change from being owned by America though

From what I read their asses were basically saved by the Italian takeover. I think all the leather saddles are still UK made.

I sent a B17 saddle off for repair a year or so ago and that was to Birmingham so I assumed they were still based out of there.
There you go... -

I have no idea about saddles really so this may be a very sill question. I need a more comfortable saddle I think. I like to ride in regular clothes no padded shorts. Sometimes for long distances, on and off road. Aside from width and length, which brooks saddles are appropriate for this type of riding ? Is a cambium? In my 5 years of riding or so I've most ridden retro flite saddles which I've felt mostly comfortable for short distances.
Edit : I've done some reading online but always like to ask lfgss for their superior knowledge .

My current knowledge is only superior to my previous knowledge, and even that is slipping, but I'd say if you're going the Brooks route (which I'd recommend) you need to first figure out how high your handlebars are in relation to your seat because they recommend different models for different positions. I have sprung and unsprung saddles on different bikes and they're all very comfortable for me.
Basically, I'd say a sprung Flyer or B66 for saddle position below handlebars and unsprung B17 Special (thicker leather) for saddle position above bars. -

And a question: do the all weather cambiums last longer than they used to? I might want to try one out after 30 years of only leather ones.
-
• #347
My c13 is going on 3 years.
-
• #348
Ah cool, this is the updated model, I guess nylon or polyester instead of cotton?
-
• #349
Once broken in B17 is great in normal clothing. Cambium better than most saddles but it’s the lack of friction with the soft/smooth leather that makes the b17 so good in civvies.

Yeah, it’s the “all weather” top.
Real for sure.... Sturmey archer era badges. And put that bit back in the swallow.... it’s there for a reason!😂
