I was gonna say 'probably' but was confident I was right. In hindsight it does look pretty skinny.

I have some 40mm ones here.
But not with a full length thread.
EDIT - Give these guys a call 020 7405 1215.
Clerkenwell Screws. Open until lunchtime today.
They sorted out some fully threaded M4 x 40mm S/S cap head machine screws for my chain tugs. -

Iv'e had those screws on a few frames, fuckers to get out sometimes if they bend.

Yur, I’ve had a few frames where they’ve just snapped off inside. No way (I know of) to get them out really

So, will these definitely take an 11sp (though modern I think they are pre-11sp but may actually fit one)?

Probably. Mavic were a bit prescient with their freehub sizing.
Measure with calipers if you really want to be certain.

Pretty sure they'll be fine.

@snottyotter
A 10sp Freehub sits pretty much flush (poss .3 of an mm inside) the freehub body. What, if anything, does that tell us? Cheers

Do you have the Mavic shim on the back of the cassette? Can you actually tighten that down with a lockring? It's possible that the lockring will bottom out on the body before it applies the appropriate pressure to the cassette.

I have got a spacer so I'll try and deduce with that - think there'd be a chance of it bottoming out without as you say.
Cheers

Should I buy some 700c knobblies for £5-20 to try and enjoy winter bridleways on my Croix De Fer or should I just fuck riding bikes off for the winter.
-
• #99850
Just fuck riding bikes altogether and get a car, it's much nicer & faster.
Lots of people putting you on ignore?
