That and we’re slow
Talk for yourself, I identify myself as fast, I'm just trapped in the wrong body.

anyone tried the new green michelins then? i spoke to a bloke on the weekend who said 'the jury's still out' on his, but he had the tubeless whereas i'm looking at the tubs.

wishes granted for the EUCX course this weekend...
-
• #8130
At least some form of challenge on that boring-as-hell course, yay!
-
• #8131
Looks like ardingly this morning

Anyone know a good spot near Esher/Richmond park to wash a bike after a muddy ride? I've just moved to a new flat with no outdoor space and haven't picked up a portable pressure washer yet.

Looks savage on that EUCX course, not sure I've seen fast riders made to look so slow..
-
• #8134
Why is this course so boring?

Ooh!
I’m surprised how cheap they are, thought they be in the £70-80 range.

Tape and glue, for the full Belg, obvs.

• #8140
Effetto Mariposa Carogna tape these days.
-
• #8141
That sounds like not nearly enough suffering for your sport.
-
• #8142
they look nice - you going to Ulverston?
-
• #8143
Will be going to ulceration, yep, though these tubs won't be on by then. Will be bambi-ing my way around on clinchers, as is my style. See you there?
The 'belgian method' is too euro for me. Gonna go with 4 coats on the rim, 2 on the tub and pray. I don't corner fast enough to roll a joint, let alone a tub.

• #8144
I think I paid £42 each for these, FYI.
-
• #8145
Which is incredibly cheap for tubs. I appreciate they are not hand sewn by artisans but still, very good pricing.
I’ll be interested to hear what you make of them.
-
• #8146
Isn’t there enough suffering on the bike, without having to extend it to off bike activities too?
-
• #8147
appreciate they are not hand sewn
mais oui!
We'll see how I go.

I'd be very interested to know how these are
-
• #8149
Apart from FMB and Dugast aren't most of the tubs made in the same factory in the far east
-
• #8150
cool, apart from being green they look very similar to the Terreno wets I've been using
Have they got latex on the base tape like the Vittoria tubs?
I saw Glen Whittington’s pictures and could see the rain and ensuing carnage it caused. I can only imagine how much fun some of those off cambers were once slick.
