Go and try on a Grand Seiko SBGE205 or SBGE211, whatever you think of GS. It is a great watch in a good size (it wears smaller than the spec sounds).
SBGJ219 If you want something smaller and a bit less sporty or you prefer high beat / automatic to spring drive. There is another similar non high beat light dial one.
Buy grey market (eg Watches of Mayfair) or tax free and it will hold its value. If they did plummet I would suggest you buy a second hand one, but they don’t.
If you actually want it to appreciate it pretty much has to be a Rolex.
