Professional-quality solutions are usually frowned upon in this thread! Nice work.

I don't get it, what is clever about mounting a reflector against your chain ring?
Am I being stupidzzzzzz?

The cars actually get a glimpse of you before crashing the fuck into you.
It also doubles as a chain keeper aka poor mans dog fang

stops rust

I take back what I wrote.

Isn't the chain just as likely to drop off the outside of the chainring?
-
• #1216
I'm still none the wiser

Does the same thing as this
Just stops your chain dropping and getting wedged / mangled between the bb and crank

Don't want a can of soup whacking you in the back on the commute, probably already done but it amused me greatly

It’s worth bearing in mind that cream-based soups are going to be heavier than, for instance, a broth #marginalgains

Low calorie soup even more so
-

…but cream floats—so surely cream based soups must be lighter than broths? Soup Science.

Early in the summer i went camping on my sweet fixie. I threw it over a wall, breaking the RHS brake lever hood. It only has a front brake so I only need one lever. Last night I finally got around to trying out the RHS lever with the LHS hood and fittings. It worked out pretty decent, though the cable entry is faffy now.

Nice - Did you swap broken hood to the left?
(Keeps bartape tidy and enables riding on the hoods) -
• #1224
Yep it's there now. Almost looks like I hacked it apart to maintain some fixie aesthetic rather than breaking it by being a moron. It was satisfying to do the whole job without any re-wrapping of bars and only needing to remove the cable inner and replace it afterwards.

No pictures I’m afraid but just had the mechanic for team Japan come and use my vice to hold some minty narrow as fuck Nitto track bars while he mullered a flat spot into the front of them with my hammer in order to get within the uci sizing they were previously 3mm outside of.
He’s away to see if they fit and if they do there’s another set to be done.
coke cans are not just for shimming!
