  • I've just realised it's on the same evening as a parents' evening so I couldn't go anyway.

  • That sucks.
    Sorry!

I'm sure it will be shit anyway and you won't be missing anything!

  • Yay!

  • Lightning Bolt at Underworld were next level just now. If anyone is seeing them tomorrow you’re in for a good one. I am a sweaty mess on the overground right now though and I still haven’t cooled down

  • Bat for Lashes is playing Earth in Hackney on 26th November, if anyone has spare tickets please let me know!

  • Saw Joe McPhee supported by Ill Considered at the Jazz Cafe last night.

Both absolutely incredible; especially considering McPhee is in his 80s!

  • I saw The Lightning Seeds at the palladium last week.

    Ian Broudie cannot sing.
    It was pretty terrible.

  • I was there.
    It was rad.

  • Seeing them tonight in Bristol! :)

  • Earth at EartH were a good show tonight. Had a few technical issues with their amps it seems which was a shame, seemed to knock off the flow a little early on, but ended up well so all was good.

  • Ahh shit, I had no idea Earth were touring. Saw them in Barcelona a few years ago and they were great.

In other news, The Mountain Goats were brilliant on Friday night. Although someone should tell Darnielle that if they're packing out the Shebu O2, they can afford to bring a bassist.

  • Lankum, Manchester last night, amazing, one of the best gigs I've been to in a very long time.
    Comet is Coming next up.

  • Due to an accidental double-booking I have two tix for The Twilight Sad at the Forum in Kentish Town on Saturday 23rd, if anyone’s interested?

  • Museum Of London.
Clash exhibition focusing on London Calling album, Not been but looks like it could be worth a visit -

  • For anyone who’s been waiting for Shame to come back, tickets are on sale at 10am today for Islington 1 Dec. Weirdly, Sleeper are supporting.

  • OOOH
That's my actual birthday... I'm keen.
    How much are the tickets?

  • 2 of my favourite bands, very sad to be missing Lankum in London on thursday but a friend's gig at the jazz festival takes precedence...

  • Man, they were awesome, dark and droney musically, funny and uplifting when chatting. Looked a bit battered, said the Glasgow gig on Saturday was fookin nuts!
Support act, John Francis Flynn was decent, album due out next year, will be giving that a listen.
Will definitely be on the fook everything else, go see em list.

  • Actually I’ve already had a taker for them, sorry. I don’t think it’s quite sold out tho. Tix are a very reasonable £17.50, btw.

  • All good.
    Thanks for this.

I've sorted list for it now.

    Cheers though!

  • Glad to hear they were good! Love the music. What's worse is the singer from my band is going so I'll hear about how amazing they were - at length!

Yep, will also be first in line the next time they swing by London. Similarly dark, beautiful and Irish - albeit less rough around the edges - do you know Ye Vagabonds? Awful name but they're making some beautiful trad-ish folk at the moment and they're incredible live. They're coming back to London in Fab I think, at Kings Place, and cannot recommend them highly enough. The harmonies and musicianship live are wonderful and they give great stage chat...

  • Ah, ffs. Due to yet another administrative fuck-up I have two standing tix for Feeder at the Roundhouse this Sat 23rd. Think they were a bit spendy at close to £30 each but I’m open to offers.

  • I don't know them, but will have a listen. Cheers.
