Hill Climbs

Great work all of you. Did I see there was something like 150 starters? Huge field.

Well done all the hill climbers .... long effort ...

Traffic on the course was ridiculous. Cars were bad, but the fucking club runs bimbling up the National HC course with a traffic jam of drivers behind them were completely out of order. Only sour point really. Seems like everyone I spoke to had at least one delay due to traffic.

There was almost 240 for Bank Road in 2016. Still strong though.

Grand showing all - I've heard from several people that it's one of the best Nationals they've ridden.

Excellent results, and I'm glad the weather held out for you all.

Great times! It was a favourable wind without a doubt! ~180 Men, ~40 in each of Women and Junior.

Apparently the town crier that was hired for the event was bitching about how he hates cyclists, road tax etc.

Great day. I heard a DAS on the steep stretch to the finish, which somehow made me smile despite being in a world of pain. Thank you whoever that was!

First female junior (Caitlin Peters) is from my club. She rides for Storey Racing and is amazingly strong and a great kid whose had a really tough few years.
It seems someone lodged an appeal because she did not wear a helmet for the climb (appeal rejected). The next nearest in her category was 68 seconds adrift.

So. Is it likely that HC season will be cancelled too.
Just considering life choices for next couple of months.
(woke up this morning at sub 67kg for the first time in a very long time. Not having lazy option of gym seems to be helping weight loss)

I’m thinking it might run(I say this as someone with no experience) , format wise it seems like it could work?
