(Hopefully) less than a month to go till my new steed is delivered.
The four months anticipation has left me with many thoughts, the most prominent of which are- Hope everything does actually fit**
- Not looking forward to being stuck in traffic
- Concerned that I'll have difficulty finding places to park it
**have made a trailer but not sure how practical this will be
- Hope everything does actually fit**

what did you buy?

Urban Arrow XL. Guy in the shop advised against the XXL. Said would be fine if I were a 6ft+ dutchman, but as a short-arse might be a bit much

Exciting!

After looking around I couldn't find anything else that had a big enough (in area) payload.

XXL
Holy wow. Imagine trying to U turn that!

I'm running an errand on the Bullitt down Brixton way this evening.
Depending on where in Kennington and how time works out, I might be able to swing by -

Awesome! Good choice I think.
Not looking forward to being stuck in traffic
Not really an issue 90% of the time ime, they’re surprisingly good at getting through jams.. you’ll have more trouble with a trailer though. remember to filter on the outside lane to avoid getting trapped!
Concerned that I'll have difficulty finding places to park it
Do you mean secure overnight parking?
We lock ours out in the street, find somewhere brightly lit and use a really heavy duty chain. Might be worth looking at installing a gps tracker if you’re worried. The one Vince got looks quite good and simple?super easy to just park anywhere for day to day stuff.
Only ever ridden the XL. Would like to have a go on a XXL for lols

I have a front drive to park on over night.
Also not sure about insurance. Any experience on here would be appreciated. -

The insurance question is our our to-do list. If I get organised and find anything I'll reply here again

I've insured my cargo bike in my garage and they still want it locked. They couldn't care that it's an alarmed garage with CCTV outside. They didn't specify what type of lock (whereas they're more specific on my motorbike)
If you're sticking it outside consider something like a ground anchor, then it gives you something solid to secure it to
-
• #3839
Already have a ground anchor - tho not sure exactly where to put it without having the machine yet.
-
• #3840
Put it in the ground?
-
• #3841
Ha!
Yep of course, just not sure what position. -
• #3842
What insurance co? Might be giving in and getting a moto, need some recommended companies for when the time comes.
-
• #3843
The XXL is a whopper! We used to use something a similar size at work (I can't remember who made it) and it was an absolute bastard to ride. Depends what you're using it for but the XL is probably a better bet unless you have a very specific need for something massive.

120kg payload doesn't seem like a lot for something like that.
-
• #3847
I've no idea what 120kg would look like in terms of volume. Would it be reasonable to assume that 120kg of e.g. Amazon deliveries in one of these could replace a small van (e.g. VW Caddy)?
-
• #3848
It depends.
-
• #3849
How are things like that going to be hauled up onto a pavement to actually make a drop-off? If they can't be, will they just be left blocking a cycle path?

Lots of this...

Is anyone aware of any Bullitt Canopy's going second hand or from a reseller at a decent price?
