Yeah it´s solid in both senses of the world. I think it´s about 8 kg.
It´s the only proper way of attaching a kid´s bike to the towing machine that´s worth considering. Very well designed and built. It essentially turns two bikes into an articulated tandem.
The kid´s bike is very easy to attach and release and the same goes to removing the whole thing from the towing bike. What we used to do when the kids were smaller was ride to daycare and then I´d leave the Follow-me Tandem with the kid´s bike attached there.

I got ours from a flea market in Brussels for the princely sum of 1.5 euros. Was practically new.
If you have small kids get one at once.

Sportpursuit have the Fly12 CE for £160 right now; not looking to get one myself but saw it in passing and thought it seemed like a decent price.

Why? Is the cycliq really 5x better than the apeman? I also already have lights so getting a combo seems slightly pointless. Also, moving to Spain where drivers aren't cunts so will have less need for this bollocks.
It does show you what the margins are on these units though. Definitely paying for their R&D early on...

Does this mean they're introducing an updated model?

Not discounted but I think this qualifies as a good deal.
Pinnacle (Evans Cycles) 12mm 6-bolt dynamo wheels with decent enough WTB rims for £125. Same as the best price I can find for the hub alone. Not sure what spokes but I kind of figured that for commuting/larking about it was better to stop worrying about that and just ride it in the dark. I've gone 650b.

Thanks, good spot. I’ve ordered one

seems silly they don't also sell a 650b rear wheel only

Pd8 hub is that cost alone, good buy!

Goddamit

Not bad. Shame Evans charge 20 quid to send a wheel across the Channel.
For those of us who like to build, the DH-UR705-3D has been available for quite a while now for 100 euros. According to Igaro it spins about as well as a Delux. High praise indeed: https://www.facebook.com/igarouk/posts/shimano-say-their-new-dh-ur705-3d-dynamo-is-up-to-44-more-efficient-than-their-c/892339554464085/
Also, the Shimano one comes in shiny as well as in black.

Maybe it's this KT hub:

Looks (visually, and from screen only) identical to the one Wiggle spec with their Prime Audax dynamo wheelset too.

Cheers. Pillar spokes then with that R on the head.

I'll say those are not Pillar spokes, I've got a wheelset with Pillar Ti.
These 'R' are the same spokes as sold on eBay as Araya ATB
Almost. You leave the front wheel on, it's actually a great system but pretty hefty. I'm guessing it doesn't come with the bike as they go for £150+ on eBay without a bike attached.
