Hope rims are FUCKING SHITE
That's proper fucked. Call Hope and give them some shit.

Quicker to accelerate I think but the gainz are slim compared to aerodynamics

When I had 50mm carbon clinchers on my condor it was like a rocket ship. Go big or go home.

Deeper rims are stiffer, if your crit racing involves sprinting then it would make sense.
Personally I think they'd look great, which is why I'd do it.

A-Force AL33 if you want v aero but alloy? My set with bitex hubs and c-xray come in at a smidge under 1500g,

Nah, the weight savings are minimal from a 30 to a 50mm carbon rim. But you'll get a stiffer, stronger, more aero wheel. The only times I wish for less than 50 are descending exposed roads with strong winds, but you won't get that in a crit.
Most importantly, they look better and do a nice hum sound. -

I'm looking at a couple of wheel options.
https://www.wheelsfar.com/38mm-x-25mm-carbon-clincher-with-dt350s-model-fsc38-cm-25u-4.html
https://www.wheelsfar.com/38mm-x-25mm-tubeless-wheels-with-dt240-sapim-cx-ray-spoke.html
But I wonder if 28mm wide rims would work between the chainstays. Any input on that @adroit?
And the max recommended weight on the Farsport one's are 40kg lower than lightbicycle. Why's that?
And why I opt for 38mm is just because I don't really fancy the look on 50mm ones.
I think they're too deep and just looks too bulky. -

My later Quantum can't fit modern wide rims, they rub the chainstays, that's why I stuck with the Zipp 202 tubs.

Buy my Reynolds? Cheap! They're 41mm

Good evening everyone.
I'm assembling a 1998 Quantum Pro.
I found the frame and the fork that belonged to two different owners.
I would like to mount a 1 "1/8 headset thanks to a Cane Creek seat post shim that goes from 27.2 to 28.6mm.
The problem is that I miss the bearing cap that rests above the upper steering tube bearing.
Would any of you know how I could solve this problem?
Thanks in advance -

I have no idea how that will work.
As far as I know you need a reset headset reducer, -
• #117
Thank you, but I am looking for a solution simply to mount a FSA bearing cap (or another brand) over the upper bearing and place the shims on it up to the stem.

I forgot to specify that the fork is an Aeros Carbon and the tube measures 1 "1/16

You need to take that question to CP mate.

Lovely klien. I want the weather to improve so I can get mine out. Are there enough klien owners here for a klien group ride.
Yeah, this might be true. But less mass in wheels is quicker in the sprint no? So a middle-of-the-road wheelset.
And I think this needs some 32mm carbon clinchers. Not as lairy as @Dammit wants it I reckon but still..
