54 inches is low, similar to what i have on my proper BMX and my sscx bike (sometimes)
BMX tyres are great, and if you go for proper BMX tyres you can go up to 2.35/2.4 if the frame allows.
Also, I have a 40t nw chainring that'd fit that WI crankset
