Omega will give your vintage the once over and offer authenticity to your watch (for a £650 fee)

Another option would be a vintage Seiko from Karlenko on Reddit https://www.reddit.com/user/karlenko123/posts/

Fifty freaking grand, for that. Sigh.
Edit: Is it just me or does that look a bit off?

Whatever it's supposed to be, it's way off.

Saw a gold/blue Sub in a pawnbroker's window today - nearly £19k...

always thought the screwheads were meant to be lined up across the dial like on APs? even if it's real that would piss me off no end
-
• #38664
Sort of. The screws are actually on the back of the AP and are always misaligned. It's nuts that are on the front and lined up.
No idea about the Hublot. It's very hard to machine screws to the accuracy required to line them up. Even for the big swiss watch makers.

Not just hard, it’s practically impossible. It’s not just aligning the thread / slot, it’s aligning the slot to the case / each other once the correct torque has been applied.

There’s a seller from India on eBay. Super cheap Seiko watches, free shipping and lots of good quality pictures of the pieces. He claims they all had service done recently and gives 6 months guarantee (on all the ones I checked anyway). What’s the catch? I quite fancy a vintage automatic seiko but it seems to good to be true...

Edox Geoscope. I’m assuming the cheap(er) units on eBay are moody but even so, would bang.

I think that’s the same seller as the geoscopes...

Before I order a Squale, is anyone selling a nice diver?
-
• #38672
I have in the past and I wouldn’t again.
Japanese sellers on eBay are the way to go for affordable, good condition Seiko.

Will have a look, thanks!

I'm pretty tempted by the Timex Q that's just come back in stock
EDIT: Too slow. I got the email saying it was back in stock at about 10pm. After a bit of pondering I decided to buy it at about 1130pm and it was out of stock again.

Your link is wrong though. Can’t seem to find the original article either..
