Is that compatible with the (Android) app or only through desktop access to the Strava website? If so how...?! Thanks

It's an extension for the Chrome browser

Do you really know that many people using Zwift during the Summer? ( or at all )
I get a million more 'morning/afternoon' commute drudgery rides than I do indoor training on my feed

With that said, off to investigate Stravini..

It's more of a moral principle than anything else. But like I said you have dispensation Pete.
But the distance filter hides all the commute stuff.

I'm heading out for a couple of hours today. What's your minimum distance requirement ;-)

At least 19 miles at tempo please

Got my Gravel King replacement tyres fitted. Hopefully they won't slow me down too much..

I just went out to regain my KOM on a segment I’ve run several times previously. The segment is almost the most direct route up a pretty substantial hill, but because of this it’s easy to veer off the official segment line a little bit. Today I did the run in ~26 mins which is a 90s PB and should be good enough for the KOM by about 45s... however I’m not showing up on the segment. The conditions today were pretty sub optimal with high winds and 20-30m visibility, and looking at the map I strayed off course a couple of times. In all cases my diversions added distance and cost time.
I seem to remember that there is a website that corrects for gps errors and snaps activities to segments. Does this exist and where do I find it?
Generally I don’t give a stuff about segments, but this is a route I regularly test myself on, as do several friends in a bit of friendly competition. Plus I worked quite hard today so it would be a shame not to record it.

The unfortunate consequence of hiding my rides/runs by default is that I now hate everyone who doesn't

Anyone know the trackpoint limit on Strava uploads? Had to gpsbabel a file down to 40000 points before it would upload so I'm wondering what the limit is?
-
• #4764
Don't think there's a specific point limit, or a size limit, I think it's just a lottery whether what you upload is finished with before some processing time limit they have imposed on the import process.
I helped rejig skinny's TCR ride into one .fit file and he was able to upload that in one chunk. I didn't have to filter out any of the data either.

Yeah this. Just asked a mate who works there and he said he fixed a bug on Thursday afternoon that was causing timeouts on long activities. Were you having problems uploading before thursday @hippy ? If so, the original file will probably work now. If it was after Thursday afternoon california time (so i guess middle of the night here) then the bug might still be there.

I've been dropping the files to 50,000 points and they're all working. I can't be bothered tweaking the values though to find out if it's a time thing or a point thing.

It was when I posted, yesterday sometime, UK

It still doesn't work.
I used it just now on a 33MB file, dropped it to 50,000 points and the file was 28MB and it worked.

If someone shared a route with you on Strava, and you didn't 'star' it, is there any way to find it again?
-
• #4770
I presume you can't recall its name then? or even part of its name?
Can you filter on start location and distance like RWGPS?
-
• #4771
You can view their routes on the iOS app, but not desktop. It’s fucking stupid.
-
• #4772
Where would you even look for it?

Ah - found it on Android app under the other person's profile. Can star from there, go to desktop and 'My Routes' + download to device from there. Cheers

Yeah that’s the one. I may just be missing it, but I cannot find a link to routes on the browser version of a profile.

Just got an email from Strava that they will stop supporting Bluetooth and ANT+ device pairing on the App. What on earth? I have never had any issues with recording afecting stability. Just because some people can’t keep their phones with enough memory does not mean the software had any issue.
Excellent suggestion! I had to turn the distance filter up like 20 miles though - some people have long commutes eh. Also can filter Zwift rides! FUCK OFF ZWIFT
