Enough clearance??
Or something more like this https://www.wiggle.com/schwalbe-land-cruiser-plus-bike-tire/ I'm going to be riding a mixture of terrain, paths, quiet b roads and light off-roading.

Got a Pashley E-Type ladyback tandem that unfortunately I will have to move on as I have no storage since my grandfather's house is being sold.
It is in tidy original condition with a bag of spares (including a rear axle to replace the cracked one currently in there), would there be any interest in taking it off my hands for anywhere near the £300 mark? Can get photos later in the week if helpful.

For me it was a combo of the mud splattered wrap arounds, full wet weather gear, cheery disposition and the grab handles so to hold on for dear life 🤘

Now it’s finally functional and back in business, (https://www.lfgss.com/conversations/300647/), here’s my grandparents’ 1934 FH Grubb. And also a pic of them setting off on it on honeymoon in 1940.
Just need to fit mudguards, get a proper rear saddle, and tension the timing chain.

Wow. Well done for rescuing that bit of family history.
Don't forget to add some epic flaps. I think you should recreate that Corfe memorial picture too...

Haha good idea! Just need to find a stoker.
I lightheartedly mentioned to a Bumble date for this evening that I might bring the tandem along as it needed a test ride. She cancelled on me. -

They look suspiciously like V brake levers to me - unless they are the type you can switch the travel setting on then I'd try some levers designed for cantis and see if that works better.

Top work! Family heirloom for many more years to come.

Well, I've gone and bought bargainous Shimano Deore V brakes so will be going that way. I think getting the pads to hit the rims properly might also help a lot. These frogleg brakes have no adjustment in that regard.

I am pretty sure I sold it on-here. Wondering what happened to that Pashley tandem I briefly owned a few years ago.
Still need to find a kiddy-back local enough for the short stoker.

This has been in bits for ages so thinking I should sell it on as a restore project. It'd be with the older levers as we reused the Shimano on other builds.
£100 or offers, collection S.MCR or I could deliver if local. I'll link to this post in other threads, but if I should make a classified specific for it please let me know.

I've been searching for a cheap practical tandem to dip the toe in, and I got a bit carried away on ebay. But we are ready for a World tour at least!
Collect it tomorrow

Get yours out the loft and we can do a tandem tandem cafe ride!

I had it out a few weekends ago! If you do seriously fancy a pootle, let me know. It's in storage at my parents so I need a day's notice to go pick it up, but every time I get it I forget how wonderful it is to ride.

Totally, give us a few weekends to get synchronised and i'll drop you a line.

Nice choice!
That’s a pretty bombproof set up, just need to tweak to you and your set for anything.
