Dredging a bit here but motorcycle maintenance is not quite as bad for the seized bolt issues. Definitely an issue with older cars but I've not come across one that slows things down too badly on a bike.
Stripped aluminium threads and bodged fairing bolts are definitely a things though. It is difficult to estimate the length of time it takes to do a job if you've never done it before though.
That’s interesting, a lot of what you’ve said there is my take on it too. The old adage of “it only takes one seized bolt...” would definitely be a concern for me if I were trying to rent out a lift by the hour/day too.
I think my mates plan will happen in some sense because he’s got the space anyway, and it’s more about having multiple revenue streams so I guess we’ll see what happens
