Is there any logic why quickshifters are marketed as performance upgrades, when if you want a sporty or 'pure' driving experience you'd buy a manual car?
Faster gear changes are always a performance upgrade. Porsche PDK gearbox?
When you're at the level of chasing marginal gains against your mates in the pub every 1/100 of a second counts.
In that case think I prefer the cliché pure experience over performance. Having said that never ridden a quickshifter and wouldn't say no to a cheeky go on one.
