my berlingo is practical but while it can take physically big loads like loads of bikes, when it comes to heavy loads its definitely not like a van, the suspension is a like any small hatchback.
I had to change the heater matrix on mine last weekend too and it meant removing the entire dashboard which was a pain in the arse and took HOURS.
In Spain and I finally get what you Yetiheads are on about. Rented a Citroen Berlingo (mainly for the sliding doors) and although it drives like a van (because it is a van) there’s a lot to be said for a purely practical wagon. It swallows so much stuff and I never knew how much I needed sliding doors. There’s got to be a small market for these things with big engines and decent suspension.
