No, the I one bought last time is seriously called "unbreakcable"
https://www.unbreakcable.com/collections/featured-collection/products/apple-mfi-certified-unbreakcable-alpha-iphone-charger-lightning-cableI'll check out the Anker ones, thanks.

I’ve had good luck with all Anker products that I’ve tried (cables and batteries).

I'm looking for recommendations for a hand poked tattooist based in London for a small-ish job.

So what's the RD and the drop bar shifters on this bike? Also, what are the chain tugs?
I am entertaining the thought of doing kind of the same build with my On-One Pomp that is just sitting gathering dust.

• #99032
what's the RD and the drop bar shifters on this bike?
Probably 9-speed XT (RD-M739-SGS?) with 9-speed STI (ST-7700?)
-
• #99033
Dura Ace 7400 8-speed shifters, and probably XT M737 or M739 derailleur.
Edit: I think it's the M739 as that had a flatter cage.

Legend. Many thanks!

Dura Ace 7400 8-speed
DA only works with DA afaik as the pull ratio is 1.9.

Anyone ever used Rustin's rust remover? I tried it out in this frame I got, left it in the shed over the weekend. I came back and the rust is gone but there's this weird black vaguely sticky substance that doesn't wipe away. I'll probably have to wait until the sun comes out again to take a picture, but does anyone know if I'm ok to apply touch up paint over the top of it?

Well they look like these which are 7400:
Wasn't it possible to bodge pull ratios by attaching the cable on the wrong side of the clamp or something?
These are 7700:

Get the vinegar on it

Wire brush is feeling more tempting

These are 7700:
If you run a 8 speed XT M739 you could effectiely use the Sora 3000 STI 9 speed as they still use the same pull ratio according to the webz.
But what you said about them being 7400 is correct and then the at back the XT is the M739.

Did you read the instructions? Ferrous phosphate.

Pffft. Read instructions? Just remove the black stuff with an angle grinder, what could go wrong?
-
• #99043
Thanks for offer. Am in Midlands so probably not convenient. Internet seems to suggest on some cranks standard width heads fowl slightly to prevent being properly tightened.

Very belatedly (so more for the benefit of others/future flats?) - Workcycles have the bolted rear NDS seat/chainstay to allow you to remove/refit a tube without having to get the rear wheel out.
-
• #99045
Might be 600
-
• #99046
I mean...but what am i meant to do to the ferrous phosphate. Paint over it?
Admittedly thought this stuff was going to dissolve the rust away, not turn it black. Thought that was the part of "rust convertors" rather than "rust removers"

PM me a postal address, and I'll stick them in the post tomorrow.

Did you read the instructions?
"Before repainting clean with Methylated Spirits. Equipment should be cleaned with water". -
• #99049
Weirdly, it is DA 7400 as per Radavist. https://theradavist.com/2017/07/a-ponderosa-cyclery-tour-capricorn-cross-bike/.
However, I would rather go with 600 because of the 1.7 bang on pull ratio. Cheers!

I think at this point it's clear that I don't really read instructions and prefer to waste people's time on the internet.
Though I did actually read that, it's just that the instructions on the bottle didn't mention any of this.
Leave until rust has been dissolved or until dry. (A colour change from brown to grey will normally occur)
If rust is thick a second application may be required (...) before re-painting wipe with methylated spirits.
I was kind of expecting the rust to dissolve. They don't say "Rust may turn into a black, sticky substance, which can be cleaned off with methylated spirits"
Anyway, appreciate you taking the time to advise me .
A standard M6 socket headed bolt fits the decommissioned crank I have in the shed.
Whereabouts are you? I've a drawerfull of M6 x 20s - albeit they're not rustless.
Or you can have the bolts from my decommissioned crank.
