  • Bland but has the space : wood house (SE26, Young's)

    Greyhound Dulwich

    Ivy house.

  • Walton-on-Thames? Food not required, just good beer in a decent venue for meetup with friends.

  • Probably the Royal George, not strictly Walton but not too sure that I would recommend either The Swan or The Anglers along the river. Not really pubs but restaurants that serve beer.
The Weir further along the river is much the same but slightly more "pubby".

  • How deep south east?
    Rosendale, tulse hill tavern, closer
    Goldsmiths Arms, further away (anerley/penge)

  • Any suggestions for a pub for birthday drinks on a Saturday night?

Needs to be reasonably central/easy to get to, a decent size (probably looking at 20-30 people), not empty or rammed, late licence, decent range of beer.

    Cheers

  • Any suggestions for pubs/ bars around Lambeth? Ideally not full of nobs. Don't mind travelling a little.

  • Which part of Lambeth?

  • Staying near Albert Embankment!

  • The Black Dog, Tamesis Dock (the floaty boat pub/bar), The Three Stags, The Vauxhall Griffin and the Prince of Wales in cleaver Sq, not sure if that last two are too far away for you

  • Morpeth Arms in Pimlico is a good boozer.

  • Thanks a lot! Will look into those.

  • I would like to drink expensive craft IPA in a beer garden in Bristol this afternoon. Where should I go?

  • I second the black dog, and the prince of wales in cleaver Sq. Have fond memories of playing boule there of a weekend.

  • Small Bar Bristol...no beer garden though but you can sit on King st in the sun

  • Wild Beer and Left Handed Giant both have expensive craft beer and outside seating (not necessarily a garden in the traditional sense but not on the road and nice enough).

  • Thanks. Didn’t realise LHG had a boozer. Might be in bed by 8.

  • Don't think I've ever been to a pub in Bristol that had a garden - always been seating out front... weird. Somewhere in Clifton must have a garden?

  • Offie, tinnies, park = garden drinkin

  • There used to be a pub in some allotments somewhere in Bristol, not far off the Gloucester Road. It was superb.

  • Looking for recommendations for a good, old, pub in Glasgow.
Suitable for the kind of tourist who likes beer and good pubs. Not super touristy, preferably. They are staying in Bishopbriggs so somewhere near there would be ideal, but they can travel.

  • Pubs with dartboards in west/west-central London, please??? (proper pubs, not Fight Club)

  • Seem to remember the Blue Posts in Fitrovia fits this bill, but it's been a good 3 or 4 years seen I been there, it's probably a £7bottle of tiger korean BBQ joint now.

  • The old China hand has a couple of dart boards but ain't West
