Nah it only triggers me with a full roadie front.

I was expecting something like that. A triple would be a more elegant solution, or an ebike
-
• #9158
but definitely worth giving a go nonetheless?

Just what modern shifter you can mate with a triple beside the older stock/Tiagra?
Maybe mechanical bar-end shifter front derailleur with Di2 rear?

50-11 down hill.
This how it all started before.
-
• #9162
It kicked off since then, when I suggested that getting into an aero position is more beneficial than 50:11 will ever be (I think).

A tripple would have rubbed on the DT

Front mech?
I'm using a stx mtb front mech on my own and an old shimano road one on the GF's bike with a 38/24. Haven't had a problem with either..
Should mention they are 28,6 mm band-ons, so adjustment to height is no biggie. -

Just got an arkose 3.
What are the forum approved mudguards to fit the mid blade mounts and odd bolt under the front fork ?
Was going to order some velo orange hammered guards but not sure if I can mount them.
EDIT : ignore, just found the VO installation guide and think it will be fine as they come with an l plate.

I ran 11-42 with 46/34 rings during Transiberica using a stock Ultegra DI2 R8000 RD setup.

I'm sure this has been asked a billion times, but where's good for gravel riding within a few hours of London? Nothing too insane, somewhere to spend a weekend in an airbnb and do some riding

South downs?
Isn't basically the entire country and half of Europe within a few hours of London.
Also platypus' weekend bikepacking rides what he organises:

There's a couple of routes in the New Forest on bikepacking.com, and I hear The Woods Cyclery are helpful with advice.
-
• #9173
Can vouch for both the New Forest route and the guys at Woods Cyclery - one of their mechanics help map out said route and they were all super helpful in there.

Just did this on the weekend:
https://bikepacking.com/routes/new-forest-gravel-taster-uk/
Was easy to get to and easy to ride. I believe I can be done in one long day or shorten it.
South downs is easy to get to as well but quite a bit more technical than the New Forest route. -

Cheers for the suggestions, I'll be on a gravel bike and girlfriend on a mountain bike so I think we're gonna try and cycle at least part of the South Downs Way. If it gets too techy there's apparently loads of cycle paths around the national park?
Stay tuned for photos of my new Wolverine baby...
Hold my beer.
