Really nice watch. For me, it is slightly spoiled by the power reserve indicator.

Only ever worn this on a nato or rubber. Always thought the bracelet would be too big at 22mm lug width, but am liking it.

I am a huge fan of this. I wish the bracelet on the modern turtles was a simpler oyster style like that (and I’m not sure I’m into the strapcode ones).

Though to be honest rubber always looks more correct on the turtle case. Someone talk me down from buying an isofrane...

Check the SBGW231. Very similar style but manually wound so it doesn’t have so much as the word “automatic” on the dial.

Also the SBGR261 for an auto with date.

I have the SBGW253 (1960s re-issue) and it's fucking lovely.

After all this GS chat, i'm going to alternate my two every day this week.

Absolute belter, that one. Lovely stuff.

I want to check out the SBGJ219 in the metal. As a black dial GMT under 40mm, it ticks a lot of boxes for me, just not sure if the dial is a bit fussy with everything going on.

How do GS perform when resale is the question?

Worse than Rolex. Better than Omega (apart from a few special editions).

Does it really matter if you like the watch?

G Shock cockpit series strap options? One of the links seems to have worn enough that the pin keeps working itself loose even after being replaced. Are there generics straps that would fit or are they very specific?
